GreenThumb GrowTogether
Celebrate with us at GreenThumb's 24th Annual GrowTogether Conference! The theme this year is "Gaining Ground." Every year hundreds of New York City gardeners gather in the beginning of spring to kick off the gardening season with flair by participating in dynamic training, workshops and community building. Our opening ceremony sets the mood with a garden sponsored musical presentation. Anna Lappé will deliver this year's keynote address; and the MAD HOT BALLROOM dancers will perform. Our audience can also expect to hear from the Director of the GreenThumb program, Edie Stone, and the NYC Parks Commissioner, Adrian Benepe. The day will be jam-packed with over 50 workshops, many new this year, more hands
on training and loads of opportunities to network and rub shoulders with all the greening
groups represented in the tabling foyer. Offering lots of kids and teen programming, this conference promises to be fun
for the whole family, and is an excellent educational resource for the city's many teachers. Participants are encouraged to sign up before the conference. Please fill out the
form and mail the $3.00 registration fee to pre-register. Check-in will begin at 9:00am and a free continental breakfast
is provided from 9:00 to 9:45am. All pre-registered participants will receive a lunch box and a t-shirt! Participants
may also register on the day of the conference, but we will not guarantee a lunch box, and t-shirts will be $5.00 each.
The registration form can be downloaded HERE. The GT Program Guide can be downloaded HERE. The GT Event listing can be downloaded HERE. Join us at Hostos Community College at 149th Street in the Bronx.
