Adventures in the Arts links gardens and artists together, moving gardens to the center stage of community development. GreenThumb, with over 600 community garden spaces is uniquely qualified as a dynamic staging ground for ARTISTS of all caliber. We believe in the tremendous potential of the artists within New York City, a city bursting at the seams with creativity. For this reason Adventures in the Arts invites artists to get involved. Tell us about your skills and learn about opportunites to perform, engage the public, or beautify your community and display your artwork! Also, registered GreenThumb gardens are encouraged to become a HOST GARDEN and partner with Adventures in the Arts to transform their garden into an art gallery, a theater or a concert hall!

GreenThumb is sponsoring two more exciting events for the month of August! Join the local community in the South Bronx at the El Flamboyan Garden, this coming Saturday, in celebration of the "Beats that Bind Us". Bring your drums and other percussion instruments to the artist circle. Brotha Sean (skilled with both West African Djembe music and Afro-Puerto Rican Bomba) will lead us as we explore the rhythms that link us to each other and to our environment.

Then on Saturday 25th of August, GreenThumb will support the Art on Dean event happening at the Walt L. Sehmal Garden in Brooklyn. Come and get some exposure for your paintings, photos, collages and sculptures. Read your poetry, or perform your songs. All artists welcome to participant. Details below:
