GreenThumb gardens that have attended a composting workshop and are in good standing with GreenThumb can receive bagged DSNY compost and bagged DSNY mulch at this year’s GreenThumb Summer Supply Giveaway! This program is a new partnership between GreenThumb and the NYC Department of Sanitation’s Bureau of Waste Prevention, Reuse and Recycling (BWPRR). Each bag of DSNY compost weighs approximately 35-40 lbs and each bag of DSNY mulch weighs approximately 40 lbs.
